普寧豆醬是潮汕地區的特產，是一種以由黃豆和鹽發酵而成的醬料，在發酵的過程中，鹽和黃豆會融合，部份黃豆更會溶化成鮮香的醬汁，因此普寧豆醬以質地稠而色澤深為佳。部份超市買到的豆醬是水和豆分離的，如鹽水浸黃豆一般的便不要選購。普寧豆醬味道鮮美。用作蘸料，調味料，或用成作漬醃子薑做成佐粥咸料也是一絕。
